Next week"s draw is in Baggotts and the jackpot is €4,250. Jerseys: Club jerseys are available from Kellys Sportswear Clara and from committee member. Membership Now due for 2009, Life Member €250, Adult players €50, Students €25, Non playing members €20, Senior Citizens €10, Underage Membership €20, Registration of life members €2. All players, selectors and mentors must be paid members before March 31st. The club would particularly ask former players and lapsed members to rejoin the club this year. Membership is payable to registrar or any member of the committee. Celebration Clara GAA Club will be celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2009. Over the years we have had much to celebrate, most recently the development of a full size playing pitch with floodlights at Pairc Proinsias. This puts enormous pressure on financial resources, we depend largely on our weekly lotto, and wish to thank both weekly and annual subscribers for their continued support. The annual subscription of €75 should be paid before February if you wish to renew or join the scheme for the first time. La Na Club: As part of marking the 125th anniversary of the GAA Sunday, May 10, has been set aside for all clubs to organise a special day of celebration. Clara club are holding a day of fun and games all players, current and former, young and old, parents and grandparents i.e. all are welcome. Anyone with ideas or suggestions for the day please contact M.Sheridan or P.J. Rickard as soon as possible as preparations are already underway. Work Evening: Preparations for La na Club are continuing on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm and help is required so if you are available your attendance would be appreciated. Training Training for all adult players takes place at Pairc Proinsias on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7.30. Adult hurling training takes place at the same time and venue on Thursday evenings. All players are asked to attend. Supporters Pack for 2009 Supporters pack which include a car sticker are now available from any committee member. Costing €30 and all funds raised are used to fund county panels. Offaly County Board Annual draw €100 tickets are now available from any committee member. Senior Citizens Passes Application forms for passes are available from committee members, the cost is €5 and the pass is valid for life. Summer Camp The VHI Offaly GAA Summer Camp will take place in Clara from June 29th to July 3rd. For info. Contact any committee member. Scor The club would like to wish the Ballad Group Collette, Maura, Aisling,John, Paul and mentor Nora the best of luck in the All Ireland Scor final in Killarney next Saturday. Good luck Division Two Hurling League Clara had a good home win over an understrength Sier Kieran last Saturday. Level at half time Clara pulled away to win comfortably in the second half. Clara: D.
