here was an exciting climax to the County Board Scratch Cup at Arden on Sunday last. Following an 18 hole play off between young Erry man Larry Maher Jnr and George Beardsley of Cement P&P, both carded a brilliant 17 under. It took an extra 6 holes to decide matters and it was Larry Maher Jnr who took the honours. Vinnie Murphy (Tullamore) was 3rd and PJ Pyke (Tullamore) won the Intermediate. Tullamore"s young gun, Sean Galvin, won the Gents Junior prize with 9 Under. The draw has been made for the Club Matchplay Championship - see notice board for details. Last week"s Progressive 25 winners were Denis Mahon and Leo O"Loughlin. Andy Boland and Mary Cuskelly were runners up. There will be a committee meeting on Tuesday 14th April at 8pm in the Clubhouse.
