Mundy"s back in town
Mundy plays what is sure to be a sell out show at The Thatch, Rahan, Feburary 25. Three studio albums into his career Jellylegs, 24 Star Hotel and Raining Down Arrows and Mundy released the live album and DVD Live and Confusion. A perfect summary of his career to date, it was primarily meant to mark the end of another chapter in his career and allow him the space to write his fourth studio album. In 2007, the live version of Galway Girl became the most downloaded song of the year in Ireland. Mundy and Sharon Shannon were awarded an IRMA award for the honour. The studio version of the song reached No 1 on the Irish singles chart and stayed there for six weeks. It has helped Live and Confusion reach double platinum status in Ireland. In 2008 Mundy also entered various studios and began recording his fourth studio album with Irish producer Joe Chester. Recording has now finished and the record will be mixed for a 2009 release where a whole new chapter will open up.
