Daffodil Day launched with Offaly volunteers
The Irish Cancer Society"s 2009 Daffodil Day was launched on Tuesday with the help of Offaly volunteers. A group from Clara and Tullamore travelled to Dublin for the launch where they were thanked by the ICS for their hard work throughout the years and were briefed on Daffodil Day 2009, which will take place on Friday, March 20. The society is hoping will raise €4.25 million. RTÉ"s Colm Murray and Bill O"Herlihy were there to help launch this year"s event. Every daffodil sold will help make the cancer journey a more comfortable one for all patients by providing a range of free patient care services in every county across the country.
