Johnny McEvoy to launch Corner Boys CD in Birr

Local music legend Johnny McEvoy will be the special guest as The Corner Boys and Friends release "Many Voices". This new album recorded with the aim of helping to raise funds for Banagher Development and Christmas Lights - on Friday, February 13, next in Dooly"s Hotel, Birr, at 9.30pm. This will be a great night of music from The Corner Boys and Friends and special guest Johnny McEvoy is set to light up the the occasion with a few of his most popular songs. The Corner Boys took their name from Corrigan"s Corner House in Birr where the idea for the album originated and the organisers are hoping for plenty of local support on the night. Banagher native Johnny McEvoy will be well known to music fans across Offaly and with hits like "Mursheen Durkin" has ensured his place in the hearts of local music fans. Tickets are on sale at the door and are priced at just €10.
