Council considers information on Ashbrook development
A decision on plans for a housing development consisting of 122 townhouses on the outskirts of Tullamore town centre could be made by the town council by Spring. The development in Ashbrook off Oakfield was submitted to the council last year and a request for additional information was made by the council to the developer, which was submitted last Friday. James Spollen Ltd is seeking planning permission for 122 two and a half storey three-bedroom townhouses at Ashbrook off Oakfield, Tullamore. The site would include new boundary walls, landscaping, car parking, new pedestrian access and pedestrian entrance off Bachelors" Walk. There would be vehicular access provided off Hophill Road/Church Road via Hophill Avenue, The Cedars and Oakfield. Permission is also requested for all associated site works and ancillary services. The development was designed by Louis M Peppard. The developer originally applied for permission back in June 2008 and submitted the additional required information on Friday January 16.
