First Irish hams produced by Carroll Meats since recall

The first Irish hams are back on supermarket shelves just in time for Christmas, thanks to Tullamore"s Carroll Cuisine. The Bord Bia approved Carroll Cuisine hams from certified Bord Bia approved farmers were delivered on Wednesday to supermarkets and deli counters across the country. These are the first Irish hams to be produced since the recall of pork and bacon on 7 December. 'We are delighted to see Carroll hams returning to stores across the country. Carroll Cuisine is a proud supporter of the Irish pig farming community and we are thrilled to see the industry back up and running... Twenty-seven Carroll Cuisine trucks left Tullamore this morning (Wednesday) with deliveries for across the country, just in time for Christmas,' said Alan Gilson, Commercial Director. Carroll"s hams are fully traceable and carry the new Department of Agriculture/Bord Bia labelling and the Bord Bia Pigmeat Quality Assurance Scheme (PQAS) Mark, the quality mark only given to products produced in Ireland and approved by Bord Bia.
